Hobart Private Hospital to End Maternity Services
The ANMF Tasmanian Branch is deeply disappointed by Healthscope’s decision to end maternity services at the Hobart Private Hospital, further limiting birthing options for women in Southern Tasmania. This follows similar closures in the Northern Territory. The ANMF is engaging with the Department of Health and hospital management to support affected midwives and ensure alternative care pathways for expectant mothers. Read the full media release.
