Venous Access and Cannulation Workshop in Hobart on Friday 11 April 2025
This comprehensive workshop offers a valuable opportunity to refresh and build your knowledge and skills in venous access and cannulation. Participants will begin with a self-paced theoretical component—approximately two hours of reading and assessment completed via the HERC E-learning platform—before attending a two-hour hands-on, face-to-face practical session. The workshop covers fundamental knowledge of the venous system, vein selection, phlebotomy, and cannulation theory, along with best practice techniques and device selection. The practical session provides the chance to work on simulated arms, helping you apply your knowledge in a realistic learning environment. Whether you're new to cannulation or looking to refine your
technique, this workshop is a great way to boost your confidence and competence. Time: Two sessions available held between 9:30am and 2:00pm.
